When did you start playing your instrument?

1960.

What do you do when you’re not playing in the LSO?

I like to do crossword & Suduko puzzles, some gardening, watch WHYY, listen to WRTI.

When, or how, did you come to join the orchestra?

I married George who was a member.

Do you play in any other musical groups?

I play with the Philharmonic of Southern NJ; Wind Symphony of Southern NJ; Rose Valley Chorus & Orchestra, my church, occasionally friends call.

Do you come from a musical family?

My father played the radio; my mother played violin in school (but never told me) one of my sisters played violin & organ.

Does the instrument you play on have a story?

Yes: I saw an ad in a local paper for an upright bass that needed gluing; It certainly did; took Mr. Riccardi 2 months to repair. I have another instrument that I was told belonged to a member of the Phila Orch. finally got it (seems the member played French horn & I have no idea why or where he obtained the bass) its not a very good one….

Are you originally from Lansdowne/Philadelphia?

No, born in Delaware & lived in NJ most of my life.

Who is your favorite superhero?

Maestro wolfgang Sawallisch.
